"Authentic Native American Art"

The image of Grandmother Spider has been preserved for us by the artifact seen below. She was the bringer of fire, a storyteller and a teacher of pottery making. On this floor cloth Mary Beth illustrates that story. Notice the red and yellow circle on Grandmother Spider's back. This represents the fire or sun as she transports them on her back over water, fire's natural enemy. This is Mary Beth's signature piece as she is known by the Cherokee as "Woman Who Swims with Fire" because of her mission to bring Southeastern art history into focus via a Cherokee craft of the 1700's.

As the bringer of fire,Grandmother Spider makes a perfect choice for a custom made wood tote. This image is stunning as a 5.5' round floor cloth. The process Mary Beth uses gives it the supple look and feel of leather. Floor cloths are custom order only.
