In the 1700's Adair, an early historian recorded that the Cherokee made floor cloths. Mary Beth, "Woman Who Swims with Fire," has carried this craft a step further and handcrafts wall hangings and placemats. Three ancient spectres haunt us in Sonora's Song, so named for the Indian rock art found a Sierra Santa Teressa, Sonora where this pictograph is located. This piece reflects authentic coloring. Ancient Native American artist used minerals to make their paints. Red, black, white and yellow were typically used.
